How to Submit Published Young Adult Novels for Consideration for the 2012 Bram Stoker Awards

March 7, 2012
It’s been quiet around here lately, but here’s one of the reasons: I’m serving and the Young Adult Jury Chairman for the 2012 Bram Stoker Awards.
So what are these awards and how can you submit, you may ask?
(Go ahead. I’ll wait.)
So what are these awards, and how can I submit?
Glad you asked.
HOW TO SEND PUBLISHED YOUNG ADULT NOVELS FOR CONSIDERATION FOR FOR THE 2012 BRAM STOKER AWARDS

The Horror Writers Association Young Adult Jury is currently reading for the 26th annual Bram Stoker Awards. The Stoker category of Superior Achievement in a Young Adult Novel honors the best in dark fantasy, horror, or the occult aimed at readers from 14 to 21 years old. (A work need not contain any supernatural element to be considered horror.)

Each young adult novel must have been published between January 1st and December 31st, 2012, and must be received by the committee no later than November 30, 2012. In early 2013, the jury will present its recommendations to the HWA active members who then vote for the top books of the year. Complete rules and eligibility requirements can be found here: http://www.horror.org/stokerules-10.htm. Review the Bram Stoker Award etiquette rules here: http://www.horror.org/stoker-etiquette.htm.
